HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A 3MF COACH?
I have been a 3MF coach at South Side for three years, starting in November 2017. Over that time, I’ve seen a lot of people come in for their first class, become passionate members and earn incredible fitness and life results. Hearing everyone’s success stories in their personal lives and watching them excel in the gym are the heartbeat of 3MF. It’s not just about changing your physique, but changing your life.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE 3MF WORKOUT?
I am an NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) certified personal trainer and strength and conditioning specialist.
There is nothing more rewarding than watching people push outside of their comfort zone and overcome obstacles. I’ve seen people who have never lifted heavy weights go from being afraid of the weight to squatting more than their own body weight – and for reps! And the look of accomplishment on their faces is what drives me.
I truly believe that fitness can transcend into every aspect of life. When you hit your fitness goals and build confidence, that confidence will carry over into other aspects of your life. When you conquer your workouts, then you’ll conquer any other goal that is in your life, whether it’s career, family, personal or community.
My favorite/least favorite 3MF workouts are the core+cardio days. I always hated cardio and ab work (still do honestly). If it weren’t for 3MF I probably would never do either, even though I know the incredible benefits to both. However, the 3MF members and studio atmosphere not only pushes me to get it in, but inspires me to go hard. Cardio will never be my favorite, but I do feel incredibly accomplished at the end of the workout, and I honestly couldn’t do it without 3MF.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF 3MF?
The best thing about 3MF is the community aspect. I’ve made so many lifelong friends during my time here, and the gym brings everyone together into a family. I’ve seen strangers, who would not have otherwise met, workout together and then get drinks together after the fact. And the members come together for betterment of the community at large with pledges to fight cancer or food drives during Thanksgiving. 3MF is bigger than a gym or workout, it’s an entire community.
